Perdiauxilio

perdi.png

Habitat: Unknown; encountered in random environments
Disposition: Benevolent, elusive

Perdiauxilio are slim, hairless dark-grey felines with smooth, silk-like skin, long pointed ears tipped with glowing orange tufts, and three glowing orange rings along their tails.

They can fade almost entirely from sight, leaving only their luminous markings and glowing pawprints visible — their presence often given away only by floating orange wisps, glowing rings, and pawprints appearing with no visible creature behind them.

These creatures appear to travellers who are lost while pursuing a true and honourable destination. They understand speech but do not speak, communicating through gestures and deliberate actions instead. Once they select a traveller, they patiently guide them along a safe route, leaving visible pawprints to follow, and avoid physical contact throughout — remaining mysterious even to those they aid.

Legends claim Perdiauxilio once guided refugee children to safety during the Great War, possibly leading them into the hidden tunnels later inhabited by the Litihana. To this day, encountering one is considered a good omen — a sign that a traveller is lost, but still following the right path.
